Receiv
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. Introduction
Receiv is an invoice tracking and payment reminder mobile application operated by Abhi Jain.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Receiv collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
By creating an account or using Receiv, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
When you create or update your account, we may collect:
- Your name and email address.
- Your business name.
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it.
- Your profile photo.
- Your Firebase User ID.
We also store information you enter or upload while using Receiv.
3. Invoice and Business Data
Receiv stores the invoice and business information you choose to add, including:
- Invoice numbers, amounts, currencies and due dates.
- Vendor and customer details.
- Payment and collection status.
- Reminder and notification preferences.
- Notes and other information associated with an invoice.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to enter personal or business information belonging to customers, vendors or other third parties.
4. Uploaded Documents
You may upload invoice PDFs, photographs or camera scans. These files may contain names, addresses, payment details or other information selected by you.
Uploaded files are used to provide invoice storage, organization, extraction and reminder features. We do not use the contents of your invoices for advertising.
You should avoid uploading passwords, payment card credentials, bank login details or information that is not needed for invoice tracking.
5. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and maintain your Receiv account.
- Store, organize and display your invoices.
- Calculate invoice status and upcoming due dates.
- Send reminders and push notifications.
- Protect your account and prevent misuse.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and improve the application.
- Respond to support, privacy and account deletion requests.
- Meet legal obligations where applicable.
6. Authentication and Google Sign-In
Receiv uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication to create and authenticate your account.
When you continue with Google, Receiv may receive your name, email address, profile photo and a unique account identifier. Receiv does not receive your Google password.
Google processes information according to its own privacy terms. Signing out of Receiv does not delete your Google account or your Receiv data.
7. Device and Diagnostic Information
Receiv and its technology providers may collect limited technical information needed to operate and protect the application. This may include your device type, operating system, application version, language, network information, device identifiers, crash reports and diagnostic logs.
This information may be used to diagnose failures, improve performance, deliver notifications and protect Receiv from misuse.
8. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Receiv may send reminders about upcoming due dates, overdue invoices, expected collections and payment activity.
You can manage notification permission through your device settings. Disabling notifications does not remove invoices or reminder preferences stored in your account.
Notifications are provided as a convenience. Delivery may be delayed or prevented by your device, operating system, network or notification settings.
9. Passcode and Biometric Security
Receiv may allow you to protect the application with a four-digit passcode and supported biometric authentication such as fingerprint, Touch ID or Face ID.
Your Receiv passcode is stored using secure storage provided by your device. It is not stored in Firebase Firestore or ordinary application storage.
Biometric matching is performed by your device. Receiv does not receive or store your fingerprint, facial scan or biometric template.
Receiv may store whether biometric unlock is enabled and a device-protected credential needed to complete the unlock process.
10. Data Storage and Local Cache
Account and invoice data may be stored using Firebase Firestore. Uploaded documents may be stored using Firebase Storage or Google Cloud infrastructure.
Receiv also stores limited information on your device using secure local storage and AsyncStorage. This may include a cached copy of your profile, application preferences and authentication-related settings.
Cached profile information may be used for up to 48 hours before Receiv attempts to refresh it from Firestore.
Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live. Our providers apply their own security and data protection controls to this processing.
11. Data Sharing
Receiv does not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the application, including Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Cloud and notification infrastructure.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services and according to their own contractual and privacy obligations.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or Receiv, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
12. Third-Party Services
Receiv currently relies on third-party services including:
- Firebase Authentication for account authentication.
- Firebase Firestore for application data.
- Firebase Storage or Google Cloud for uploaded files.
- Google Sign-In for account access.
- Notification services for push notification delivery.
These providers may collect and process technical or account information under their own privacy terms.
13. Optional Future Integrations
Future versions of Receiv may offer optional integrations with Gmail, Google Drive or bank statement import providers.
These integrations will require your explicit permission. Receiv will request only the access needed to provide the selected feature.
You will not be required to connect these services to use basic invoice tracking. Available integrations may be disconnected through Receiv or the relevant provider.
If Gmail or other Google user data is accessed in the future, its use will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
14. Security Measures
Receiv uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including Firebase Authentication, HTTPS communication, access controls, secure device storage, passcode protection and supported biometric security.
No storage or communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect your device, Google account and Receiv passcode and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
15. Data Retention
We generally retain your account information, invoice records and uploaded documents while your account remains active or while needed to provide Receiv.
Information may be retained for a reasonable period after an account deletion request when needed for security, dispute resolution, backups or legal obligations.
Local application data may remain on your device until it is cleared through Receiv, your device settings or application removal. Device-protected credentials may be retained according to your operating system’s secure-storage behavior.
16. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your circumstances, you may ask us to:
- Provide information about the personal data associated with your account.
- Correct inaccurate account information.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Address a concern about how your information is used.
You may also update some information directly within Receiv and manage camera, photo, biometric and notification permissions through your device settings.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request.
17. Account Deletion
To request account deletion, contact Abhi Jain at abhijain3002@gmail.com using the email address associated with your Receiv account.
Deleting the application or signing out does not automatically delete information stored in Firestore or Firebase Storage.
After verifying your request, we will delete or anonymize applicable account data unless retention is required for security, legal or operational reasons.
18. Children’s Privacy
Receiv is intended for adults and people legally able to manage business or professional invoices. It is not designed for children under 18.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through Receiv, contact us so the information can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Receiv changes, new features are introduced or legal requirements evolve.
The updated policy will be displayed within the application with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a change materially affects your rights, we may also provide an in-app notice.
